Instructor: Michel Coppieters
PT PhD
Michel graduated in 1993 as a physiotherapist in Leuven, Belgium. While working in the out-patient department of the University Hospitals in Leuven, he started teaching Manual Therapy subjects at the physiotherapy undergrads and postgrads in Leuven. Michel's fascination for the examination and treatment of nerve injuries resulted in the completion of his PhD in 2001, entitled 'Physical examination and treatment of neurogenic disorders of the upper quadrant - A manual therapeutic perspective'.

After finishing his PhD, Michel moved to the Department of Physiotherapy of The University of Queensland, Australia, continuing to unravel bits and pieces of the complexity of minor nerve injuries. Michel has presented and published widely on the topic of neurodynamics. Although he never resided in The Netherlands, Michel still has the Dutch nationality.
